M.J. Flaherty Co. is providing HVAC and Process services for the new 154,000 sf expansion to the MBL facility.  The MBL is one of only a few publicly operated, FDA-licensed vaccine manufacturing facilities in the country, and is the only one of its kind still operated by a state government.  The new facility will be used to develop and manufacture human vaccines, plasma products and monoclonal antibodies.

The development will provide space for aseptic filling lines , product and prototype manufacturing, quality control and analytic laboratories and accessory offices and other uses.

Work is progressing.  The process water pumps have been installed in the Mechanical Room:
